Door Portion
Product Description
The FDI15M Bullet and Forced Entry Resistant Door Series is designed
as a rugged door system capable of resisting 15 minutes of forced entry assault
and defeating multiple impacts of 7.62mm NATO and 5.56mm projectiles as defined
by applicable U.S. Government Standards.
Basic Use
This door system would be used to provide protection in those areas
likely to be attacked by a mob or terrorists.
Applications are likely to be at main security access control points and
at other designated egress points.
Limitations
This door has been designed to meet the rigid specifications developed by
the U.S. Government. It is
recommended that each end user should determine the ballistic and forced entry
threat and determine the correct product to meet and resist that threat.
Construction
Doors are to be full flush construction of ballistic steel plates and 1
½” steel tube. Vertical jams and
header to contain bullet resisting material equal to protection level of the
door.

doors and frames are furnished prime painted, ready for final finish in field.

materials shall be a type tested and approved by H.P. White Laboratories, Inc.
for bullet and forced-entry resistance. Size
to be limited to 20 ¼” x 31 ½” vision area.

Specification:
A.
Door construction – Doors are constructed of steel plates, and steel
tubes 1 ½” thick. Door thickness
is nominal 2”.
B.
Door Frame Construction – Door frame assembly is constructed of formed
steel plates and tubes. Framing
dimensions are 2” wide x 5 ” deep. Doorframes
are completely fabricated at factory and shipped with doors attached.
All doors are pre-tested for all locking functions, clearances, and ease
of operation, to make field installation easier.
All joint connections are welded to provide a rigid assembly when
installed. Vertical Jambs,
doorstops and transoms contain bullet resistant material equal to the value of
the door unit. All seams of the
door and frame are protected in the same manner.
The doorstop is built into the frame.
Frames are predrilled to accept ½” anchors approximately 12” on
center. Shims are provided to take
up a space at each anchor. Wiring
diagrams are shipped enclosed in the hardware packages.

Window Portion
Glazing
Glazing Materials shall be of a type approved by H.P. White Laboratory
for Forced entry and bullet resistance.
Limitation
s
The FDI-FW15M Fixed Window Series was primarily developed to compliment
the FDI15M door series in those areas where forced entry, bullet resistant type
glazing was required. This sturdy
and boldly designed unit is capable of withstanding repeated physical assaults
and multiple impacts.
Construction
1.
Frame assembly is constructed of steel plates, angles and tubes.
Framing dimensions are 2 ¼” wide by 5 ” deep.

Frames are fabricated and shipped completely glazed ready for
installation
3.
All joint connections are welded to provide a rigid assembly when
installed
4.
Frames are pre-drilled to accept ½” anchors on 8” center as required
6.
Steel sub frame recommended.

Standard rough opening is 37¼" x 86¼".
Finish
Standard: All window frames
are furnished prime painted
Factory
applied enamel can be provided. Also,
aluminum trim in Clear and Bronze, Stainless Steel, and Brass are available for
